Informa Markets commits to sustainability through the program FasterForward, which includes 3 pillars (Faster to Zero, Sustainability Inside and Impact Multiplier) and a variety of activities that encompass our commercial operations, brands, products and our impact on the community. Our goal is to incentivize our customers and markets to follow our example for the integration of sustainability to their operations.
As trade show and event organizers, we have the responsibility of leading the sustainable development in our industry. To accomplish it, we follow 16 strategic fundamentals that pursue the incorporation of sustainability into our company and organized events.
Better Stands aims to celebrate exhibitors and their appointed contractors who choose to use reusable stands. Split into three key phases, Bronze, Silver and Gold, Better Stands looks to encourage gradual change across the events industry by prioritizing stand systems that are safer, faster and cleaner to build and present much less waste than disposable stands.

How to get involved in the sustainability of the event
- Make sure that your booth is designed to be reused in future events and that it can be easily dismantled and recycled.
- Try to consolidate your shipments and choose logistic companies with good sustainability credentials to reduce the carbon footprint.
- Choose digital brochures and acquire recycled and certified materials to reduce the environmental impact.
- Use low consumption LED lighting and turn off your equipment by the end of the day to save energy.
- Consider the amount and environmental credentials of the promotional gifts you purchase, as well as their long-term utility.
- Support the sustainability of the region by using local suppliers and products from the area
- Participate in initiatives and conversations with regard to sustainable development in the industry during the event.
- Promote the sustainability credentials of your company and products to inspire the sustainable development in your sector.
- Make sure that you and your contractor meet the health, safety and protection requirements.
